Implementing SAP software is usually no easy task. In many cases, it is a mammoth project. Tasks, processes, job profiles and departmental structures usually have to be completely redefined.

This often creates a lot of headwinds, especially within the workforce, and conflicts are pre-programmed. Empathy, communication skills and assertiveness are among the most important soft skills that a successful SAP consultant (SD) should bring with him.

Training as an SAP consultant for the Sales & Distribution module

Basically, there are many ways to become an SAP consultant. The professional title is not protected, which is why there is no regulated training requirement.

If you want to become an SAP consultant for the SD module, you need to acquire the necessary knowledge yourself. Numerous providers offer training and further education courses for SAP consultants as well as for the various SAP modules.

However, SAP operates its own training center for junior consultants with a professional experience of 0- to 3 years with the SAP Consultant Academy. The training is considered to be of particularly high quality and the certificate obtained is internationally recognised.

At Munich Enterprise, we only employ SAP consultants (SD) who have acquired their degree from SAP. In addition to a basic course, the institute offers numerous specialization courses with the certification levels Associate, Professional and Master for the various modules.

These are usually blended learning formats, a form of teaching that consists of face-to-face events and e-learning shares.

For SAP consultants for the Sales & Distribution module, we recommend various specialization courses on sales to learn the following key qualifications:

• Ability to analyze the sales-related needs of companies and adapt the respective software components
• In-depth user knowledge of the sales-oriented modules
• Cross-industry knowledge of sales processes in companies
• Knowledge of project management in connection with the various modules
